Our Story

It was a Monday. My mom collapsed without warning. She was 57. Four days later, we made an end-of-life decision. Five days after that, we buried her. The next day, I realized I had become the person responsible for my sister — and I had no idea how.

My sister has intellectual and developmental disabilities. My mom had been her operations manager her entire life — medications, appointments, routines, care team, preferences, people. All of it lived in my mom's head. When she died, that knowledge died with her.

SibHaven is the tool I needed and didn't have. Built so the operational knowledge of a person's life survives the person who holds it.

Who It Is For

Built first for adult siblings — brothers and sisters carrying the day-to-day for a sibling with an intellectual or developmental disability (Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, acquired brain injury). Also for adult children who have become primary caregivers after a parent's decline or passing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SibHaven?
SibHaven is a voice-first companion app for families supporting adults with different abilities — including intellectual and developmental disabilities, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, Parkinson's disease, and similar conditions. It captures daily care notes hands-free, builds a Letter of Intent, tracks medications, coordinates caregivers, and monitors overnight activity through Ring devices the family already owns.
Who is SibHaven designed for?
SibHaven is built for three groups: the primary family caregiver — a sibling or family member who holds years of care knowledge — gets a full record, morning brief, and AI companion. The person with disabilities gets a dignity-first, voice-first view of their own day. Paid support workers get a shift-aware briefing without access to private family information.
What is a Letter of Intent?
A Letter of Intent is a living document that captures everything an outside caregiver would need to know about a person with disabilities — their routines, preferences, medications, care team, emergency contacts, and wishes. SibHaven builds it piece by piece from your voice notes and daily updates, so it is always current and ready when someone new needs it.
How does SibHaven's overnight monitoring work?
SibHaven connects to Ring through Ring's official API and monitors overnight motion and doorbell notifications from devices the family already owns. SibHaven reads the notification stream — not raw video. Notifications are reviewed before reaching the caregiver, filtering out false alarms and surfacing only what matters. Overnight monitoring is included in the Complete plan at $49 per month and is coming soon.
How much does SibHaven cost?
SibHaven offers three plans. Essentials Lite is $15 per month and includes all core features with up to 100 AI interactions per month — morning briefs and medication reminders are always unlimited. Essentials is $29 per month with full unlimited AI, voice capture, daily morning brief, medication reminders, Letter of Intent, appointment prep, and caregiver handoffs. Complete is $49 per month and adds overnight Ring monitoring. All plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
Do I need new hardware to use SibHaven?
No new hardware is required. SibHaven works on any smartphone or tablet. Overnight monitoring uses Ring devices the family already owns — no additional devices needed.
What is the difference between SibHaven and SibKeeper?
SibHaven is the companion app — the daily tool families use to capture notes, track medications, coordinate caregivers, and stay connected. SibKeeper is the parent organization building the broader platform for lifelong family care. SibHaven is the first product from SibKeeper.
Can I try SibHaven without creating an account?
Yes. SibHaven has an interactive demo at sibhaven.sibkeeper.com/demo that requires no account. You can explore three care scenarios — Maria (cerebral palsy, age 34), James (Parkinson's, age 61), and Keisha (intellectual disability, age 27) — and see the family caregiver view, the person's self-view, and the paid caregiver briefing. You can also chat with the AI companion for each person without signing in.
